SALES POLICIES
1. All sales are final. All animals once they have been paid for and removed from the premises will not be allowed back. This policy is to ensure bio-security of our farm. Since I cannot possibly have any control over how animals are managed once leaving my possession, it will also be understood that upon the animal leaving this property, all liabilities & responsibilities for the animal immediately transfer to the buyer. I will not take any animal back, because I cannot be sure that it has not come in contact with diseases while away from my farm. I do not guarantee that a purchaser will like an animal they purchase from me. An animal represents a potential. Should the buyer be unable to keep the animal, then they need to look for a new home for the animal to be adopted into. ONCE A GOAT LEAVES OUR FARM, THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS.
2. If you are interested in reserving an unborn kid, please put a $100.00 non-refundable** deposit on the kid of your choice. Your deposit is NOT refundable if you simply change your mind! Sales list pricing is only guaranteed BEFORE the kid is born.
3. Deposit payments may be made in cash, check, money order or PayPal.
4. We will hold a breeding for 7 days if you are out of state, for 4 days if you are in state, pending the receipt of a deposit. If no deposit arrives, the breeding will be made available again to others for deposits.
5. BALANCE/PICKUP: If you have not paid in full before picking up the animal, then the remainder of the money that is owed is due at time of pick up in cash only. At the time of pick up, you cannot pay with a check or money order!
6. Reserved kids must be picked up and full payment received within four (4) weeks of birth, unless special arrangements have been made with me. A boarding fee of $5.00 per day will be charged for any kids not picked up within that time period. PLEASE NOTE: If the balance is not received by the date we have set for pickup, the animals will be offered to the next interested party & your deposit will be forfeited. Any & all “outstanding monies” must be satisfied prior to the animal leaving my farm. If the goat is not picked up by 8 PM on the date we have agreed on, and other arrangements have not been made, it will be sold to the next person in line. There will be no refunds made to the person who didn't pick up their goat on time.
7. On already born kids and adults, we require payment in full at selection time. The purchase amount is nonrefundable if buyer backs out. We will hold them for two (2) weeks without board for them to be shipped or picked up. After that time, board of $5/day will be charged due to feed and time to maintain them. Any & all “outstanding monies” must be satisfied prior to the animal leaving my farm, in cash only. If the goat is not picked up by 8 PM on the date we have agreed on, and other arrangements have not been made, it will be sold to the next person in line.
8. Sorry, I do not deliver or partially deliver my goats. The buyer must make arrangements to pick them up.
9. We prefer you pick up your purchased animal at the farm if at all possible. If you must have them shipped, buyer is responsible for all shipping costs & shipping arrangements including but not restricted to: kennels, any health certificates or tests, air shipment, drop-off gas costs.
We try to update the website, but we may not get to it that often (especially during kidding and show season). Email us for most current info.
On Hold: means that a kid or goat as been selected and that payment is supposed to be on the way to us. We allow 7 calendar days for a payment to reach us if they are out of state, 4 calendar days in state. After that time, goats are re-released for sale.
Sale Pending: means payment has been received but goat is still on the farm pending shipment/pick up.
Sold: means that goat has left our hands to it's new owner.
Registration papers: On stock sold registered, we hold papers until either the owner picks up the goat, or the goat arrives safely at it's final destination, AND all payments for goat, boarding fees, shipping, kennels, health certificates, etc. have cleared. New owner is responsible for transferring ADGA papers into their name. For kids not yet registered, we will register online and pay transfer fees at the time of purchase, with paperwork to be sent to the new owner upon processing by ADGA.
Please feel free to contact us on animals we are holding or are pending sale. On occasion, sales do fall through.
10. For animals sold out of state, buyer must pay for a certificate of veterinary inspection (CVI) from our vet, cost to be determined at the time of reservation. This fee must be paid in advance, before the animal is inspected or released to the purchaser. Any additional health testing or permit fees are also to be paid for by the buyer in advance of purchase. Our adult goats are tested CAE negative annually, but any other health testing you wish/require is to be paid by buyer, including postage/shipping fees for samples, any associated veterinary fees, etc., before purchase.
**REFUNDS: There are two ways that a deposit or payment on a goat may be refunded: 1) In the sad event that the goat you placed a deposit on should pass away or becomes very ill, you may decide to receive a refund, or place your deposit on another available animal, or roll your deposit over to the following kidding season. **Note** If the goat you reserved as your 1st choice, for any reason is no longer available, your deposit can be applied to another available animal of the same or lesser value with any extra money being refunded. 2) For Kid Pre-Order Reservations: Your deposit is refunded if the kid of your choice is not born; i.e. you wanted a doe kid out of a certain doe and the doe kidded two bucks. If you prefer, you will be given a choice on any other kids born and not already reserved or retained by us.
If YOU cancel your deposit or reservation for any reason, or you do not pick up your goat by the agreed upon date, you will not be refunded! If you should decide to cancel your deposit, you can not choose to change your mind later and "un-cancel" it. A new deposit will need to be paid for, if you want another reservation in the future.
